Ils sont partis !

Les 80 concurrents de la Transat 650 / La Charente Maritime Bahia ont mis les voiles, dimanche dernier à 17h18. Parmi eux, Ulf Brandstrom, Pascal Chombard, Benoit Lenglet et Fabrice Sorin, chevauchent un Nacira. Ils sont donc 4 cette année sur la course, contre 1 (l'Américain Chris Tutmark, à bord du Nacira n°2) il y a deux ans, au lancement du bateau.
Et pour l'instant, alors que les conditions de vent sont extrêmement faible, on retrouve aux avants postes Benoit (Evasol) et Fabrice (Imprimerie Cartoffset), auteurs tous les deux d'un très beau début de course. Fabrice, légérement décalé dans le Nord et parmi les plus ouest, est d'ailleurs dans une position extrêmement confortable pour négocier la zone sans vent qui semble s'étendre autour du Cap Finistère. Lets wait and see, et passage à la caisse dans deux jours ... On en reparle.

Sunday the 25th, at 17.17h, the 80 sailors of the Transat 650/La Charente Maritime Bahia started to reach Madeira. Among them, Ulf Brandstrom, Pascal Chombard, Benoit Lenglet et Fabrice Sorin are riding a Nacira 650. There are 4 this year on the race, comparing with 2009 when the American Chris Tutmark was lonely, sailing Nacira #2, just after the boat was launched.

And now, while wind conditions are really light, Benoit (Evasol) and Fabrice (Imprimerie Cartoffset) are sailing the lead. Both of them did a very good first part of race. And Fabrice, slightly positionned on the North and among the western, is especially in a very good position to negociate the no wind area extending from Cap Finistere. Lets wait and see...
